About Zavilo

A growing collection of practical tools for the small computer tasks that appear in everyday life and work.

What we want Zavilo to become

Computer users regularly run into tasks they do not need every day, but still need to solve. Sometimes that means searching for instructions or installing an entire program for one small job.

Zavilo brings practical tools together in one place so the right utility is easy to find and ready to use when you need it.

More than file tools

Zavilo is currently growing through tools for images, documents, QR codes, icons and video, but the service is not limited to a particular file format or category.

Any small, repetitive or inconvenient computer task that appears in everyday life or work can become a useful Zavilo tool. The goal is to keep expanding the range of tasks that can be solved from one place.

Easy to find, easy to use

Each tool is designed to make its purpose clear and keep the controls focused on what is actually needed for the task.

Zavilo favors straightforward workflows and useful results over unnecessary setup or complicated software.

How tools are built and improved

A Zavilo tool should solve a specific task, explain what it does and make its important tradeoffs visible. As tools mature, we test supported inputs, output behavior, browser compatibility and common failure cases rather than treating the interface alone as finished.

Priority tool pages also include practical use cases, how the processing works, limitations and related workflows so users can decide whether a tool is appropriate before relying on the result.

Browser-side processing and privacy

Many Zavilo file tools are designed to process supported files in the browser. When a tool is described as local or browser-side, the processing is intended to happen on the user's device instead of requiring the source file to be uploaded to Zavilo for conversion.

Different tools can use different browser capabilities, so the individual tool page is the best place to check its current behavior and limitations. See the Privacy Policy for the broader rules covering site data, analytics, cookies and advertising.

Accuracy and responsible use

Conversion, OCR, enhancement and document tools can all have edge cases. Zavilo aims to describe those limits clearly. Important output such as recognized text, document changes or transformed media should be reviewed by the user before it is used in a business, legal, financial or other consequential workflow.

Free access and continued improvement

Zavilo aims to keep a broad collection of useful tools available for free. Advertising may support service operation, development of new tools and continued improvements to existing features.

Advertising does not change the output produced by a tool. When ads are enabled, they should remain separate from the controls used to upload, process or download a file.
