Detect visible faces in a photo before sharing it publicly or using it in a presentation.
Automatically detect faces in a photo and hide them with blur or mosaic quickly online. No image upload is required for processing.
JPG, PNG or WebP
AI Face Blur uses an on-device face detector to locate faces automatically, then applies blur or mosaic with browser image processing. It is designed for quickly obscuring visible faces before sharing screenshots, event photos or other images.
Detect visible faces in a photo before sharing it publicly or using it in a presentation.
Apply blur or mosaic to multiple detected faces without manually drawing every region first.
Make a derivative image that reduces facial visibility while retaining the overall scene.
A browser vision model scans the selected image for face-like regions.
Detected face boxes are shown so you can review the proposed regions.
The selected blur or mosaic effect is rendered over those regions in the output image.
The supported face-detection workflow analyzes the image on the device instead of requiring the source photo to be uploaded to Zavilo.
| Feature | Advantage | Use when |
|---|---|---|
| AI Face Blur | Finds likely faces automatically | Many visible faces need a quick first pass |
| Mosaic / Blur Image | Lets you select any region manually | You need to hide plates, documents or regions the face model does not detect |
Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
Wait for the browser face detector to locate visible faces.
Choose Blur or Mosaic and adjust the effect strength.
Review every detected area and make sure all sensitive faces are covered.
Download the protected image as PNG.
Check the file picker and tool description for the supported formats. Available formats can vary by tool.
No detector is perfect. Small, occluded, sideways or low-quality faces may be missed, so the result should always be checked before sharing.
Blur softens facial detail, while mosaic replaces detail with larger pixel blocks. Both are visual hiding methods rather than cryptographic anonymization.
